Description
The boardwalk is a bridge over the sand to protect the fragile coast around the original Cape Hattaras National Seashore Lighthouse in North Carolina. This watercolor was painted around 1981 before the lighthouse was moved inland. This is the original site of the lighthouse completed from a photo from the Raleigh Times in 1978. The original is in a Greenville, South Carolina collection.
Signed just “Cathie” while trying to figure out who I was as an "unmarried woman"!
The 12 x 16 painting is in a private collection in Greenville, South Carolina.
