Description
Daffodils can be more challenging to paint than you think. With their thin and delicate petals, it is important to get the values right or they will look heavy. This vintage "Cathie Donleycott" painting was created in Cary, North Carolina. It was the first free-hand painting of flowers painted intuitively from memory of my Cary, North Carolina daffodils and daisies in the early 1970s. Now available for reproduction. Original is in the artist's personal collection. Two of my favorite flowers painted while living in Cary, North Carolina as a young woman with three little children.... so happy to be painting!
