Painting - Watercolor On Arches Cold-pressed Paper
Water, the beach, the ocean, and everything about it are the recurring theme in my paintings, because I am happiest when I am by a body of water or even a creek. My heart's memories still reside at Breezy Point, Long Island, New York where I spent much of my life growing up. Since 1966, I have also spent many wonderful hours all along the North and South Carolina coast, as well as on lakes and rivers in these states.
Many National Seashores, such as Cape Hatteras National Seashore and Cape Cod national Seashore use sand fences on a beach or dune to assist in building a new dune or to fill gapes in dune ridges. .
This original watercolor seascape--"Sunset on Sand Fences at Cape Hattaras National Seashore"--show the sun setting on some of those protective beach fences. The original painting was purchased for a private collection in Connecticut.
Grateful and honored to have Sunset on Beach Fences featured on the home pages of 18+ Fine Art America groups.
