2020 COMMISSION! The Yellow House, a restored elegant historic mansion, restaurant, and gift shop on Main Street in Clayton, North Carolina is a viison of multiple generations of love. Originally called the Wagner House. John Wesley Massey, a Southern Railway station master, built the house in 1912 on land his wife Lula inherited from her family, which owned Thurston Freight Co. There are lots of stories about the house, including a tale about Union soldiers camping there during the Civil War.
This was my first commission to a large house and a painting in Clayton, North Carolina. Commissioned to do one (1) watercolor, feeling the owners love for my paintings and their restored house, I wanted to be sure they would like it. So, I eventually completed three (3) versions. When I presented the three for them to choose one, the owners loved them all, so they bought all three (3).

My creativity has led me to paint and design in many mediums and formats, from graphic, to architectural, landscape, painting, and technical writing. The most rewarding aspect of my life long career is that I have the opportunity to bring joy into the lives of others with my painting and design skills.
