Garden's hibiscus (Hibiscus syriacus L.) is a deciduous shrub or low tree of the family Malvaceae. The branches are upright, they grow to 5 meters in height. Initially bursts hairy, later bare the. The leaves are alternate, are on short stalks, are three-legged, smooth, big sawtooth edges. The flowers are single, large, up to 6 cm, the growth in the leaf axils and are of different colors - white, pink, purple, blue, purple. The most common are two-tone with a pronounced center. They bloom from June to October. The flowers are short-lived, lasting only one day but continuously from the numerous buds produce new flowers. The fruit is more seed shells.
Hibiscus naturally grows in parts of Asia, in Europe arrived in the 16th century and has since grown as an ornamental plant in gardens, courtyards and parks. It can be grown in large pots. It is a good honey plant, giving bees nectar and pollen.
