Watercolor painting, "Uncommon Pairing." A tall staunch Southern Pine that the smaller tree hopes to awaken. The tall Southern Pine protects the smaller tree from the winter winds and too harsh sunlight so it can blossom, then they can grow together. The two trees are outside the fence, which has broken as it recedes into the distance, perhaps from them trying to escape the constraints of sterotypical southern politeness and courtesy. They just want to feel the effervescent joy in the beautiful world of music, nature, and humanity.
