Sailors Delight hung for almost a year at the Cameron Art Museum in the State of the State art show in Wilmington, North Carolina, then immediately sold afterward through the River to Sea Gallery on the Riverwalk. "Look at what you have achieved. You show both distance and closeness in the same spot where your closeup fence comes forward while the distance is shown in the same spot with your color and perspective," the curator exclaimed when I received the thrilling curators review prior to leaving my precious small painting. There were so many other giant paintings being delivered, I felt great trepidation about even bringing my small offering into the building... after driving three (3) hours to get there and having to wait hours more to even get in.
